All is quiet on the Janne Front...

It is easily forgettable on how difficult it is to fill this blog with information when janne is on various fishing excursions in finland...

All we know right now is Janne wants a 1-way contract... Not sure if he is gonna get that in Pittsburgh... If Janne doesn't end up in the burgh, i would put money on Minnesota trying to land the J-Man... With former IHC Todd Richards now HC of the Wild, I could see them bringing him in... Other than seeing Janne don the golden triangle, seeing him and Gabby tearin up the league lightin the lamps every game might be appealing....

Anyways, i'll keep everybody posted as things come in...

I WISH I HAD CBC....

WOW... Just saw this recently, and it is amazing how much better the CBC presents these moments than NBC...



Watching the celebration for some reason feels better than NBC... they show mario and shero's box, they show multiple angles of the celebration... If you haven't had the chance go through you tube and watch the game by game introductions by the CBC... honestly NBC should consider broadcasting their product next year because it is light years ahead of their product...

Ugly to Party with the Cup...

Ugly says he gets the Stanley Cup Aug 17-18th and will take it to Russia for what he says will be the biggest party ever! I bet his old man is flying in the blonde and dumping the wife for those two days...

Goose is here to stay...

In the first free agency move as Stanley Cup Champions the Pens think to the future by inking Alex Goligoski for another 3 years. We here at PATP think this is a good move as he is obviously an integral member of the future of the Penguins. Only another week or so until things really start to pick up...

Wouldn't that be awkward...

Pascal Dupuis got a tattoo commemorating the stanley cup victory... He is nowhere close to being a life long penguin, wouldn't it be funny if he someday plays for the flyers, or the capitals (i was gonna say detroit but they'd never take him)... Imagine walking around the locker room sporting the logo of the team that is your perennial playoff eliminator...

In my previous post i said that there is no way that words can even come close to equaling the power of pictures from last nights game... I have been trying to find a definitive gallery and I think I may have found it...

The Brandy....

Ever since that last second save and the hoisting of the cup last night I have been trying to find a way to put this season into words... As much as I have tossed it around, watched every available video online, watched NHL on the Fly recap 4 times, I have yet to figure it out... Right here I would love to try and sit here and give an epic summative response but I don't think I could do as much justice as all the pictures that are floating around the internet....



I don't to waste everybody's time by posting every picture, but for whatever reason this picture above is my favorite... The looks on these guys faces could probably be found at that same second in any bar, home, or wherever pittsburgh fans were around the world....

Some thoughts on the game, series, playoffs and season...

- Holy shit, I can remember when we were bitching FUMT and we were in 10th place...



- I made this image in September in jest... I am shocked that my prophecy came true

- If you asked any penguins fan at the begining of the season to pick three teams to knock off to win the stanley cup, i guerin-damn-tee that 99% of the responses would have been Philly, Washington, and Detroit... This could not be any sweeter...

- I lost alot of respect for the Red Wings fans last night... I understand emotions run high, but have some class... Sid gets hurt and they cheer, low class, we are lifting the cup and they boo... come on... last year your boys won in our house and we sat there and clapped... You should all be ashamed of yourself, you can think about this when you are at work on monday.... oh wait... (ouch, that was kinda low)

- would have loved to see malkins parents there... his dad might have straight up humped a girl...

- I am not going to lie here, going into this series was like going to a funeral, I did not have the highest of expectations... Whether you like it or not, the red wings were and are the better team... But like I said in an earlier post, in game 7 it doesn't matter who is better...

Anyways, it was great, i am so happy that we can enjoy this for the entire off season... State of the Pesonation in a few days...
