Interesting Article...

Not sure if you guys are regular readers but Seth over at Empty Netters (you should really read this blog) posted an interesting article about the Pittsburgh Penguins having the Most 100 point seasons from players...

With Malkin going over the 100 point number the penguins have a total of 29 Individual
100-Point Seasons, edging out the Oilers...

The Penguins who have eclipsed the 100 point marker are...

Mario Lemieux (10)
Jaromir Jagr (4)
Paul Coffey (2)
Sidney Crosby (2)
Ron Francis (2)
Evgeni Malkin (2)
Rob Brown (1)
Pierre Larouche (1)
Jean Pronovost (1)
Mark Recchi (1)
Kevin Stevens (1)
Rick Tocchet (1)

Kevin's Edit:

To correct my partner in crime Wayne had 14/100 + point seasons...

Some other interesting things, Lemieux has the most 100 point seasons with 10... Another thing that I thought was interesting was that the Devils have never had a 100 point scorer in their history... Parise is at 85 right now so that might end up being a close one...

This just shows how lucky we are as hockey fans that we have had that many players put up massive points in our relatively short history...

I saw that article earlier today...Pretty interesting stuff. It's cool that Sidney Crosby
has already had 2 100-point seasons and has helped contribute to that list!

Yeah, and it's looking like he is going to add a 3rd to that this season...

Between the steelers and the pens pittsburgh fans are quite blessed...
