A moment of silence....


Normally here at Pesonen and the Pens we focus on all things Janne Pesonen and the Pittsburgh Penguins. That being said we would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of Alexei Cherepanov on behaf of the entire Pesonation....

Man this is awful. The sad part is that the proper medical equipment or staff was not there to help him. The fact that this could maybe have been avoided is gut wrenching.

Yeah, looks like the NHL has some other advantages over the KHL

after watching the video on youtube of his last seconds of life, I can't believe in today's world they didn't have medical attention or a stretcher. Alexi was literally carried by four or five guys to the dressing room.

I don't get it..

If the EMT team did not decide to leave earlier, chances are he would still be alive... Even still, it is unthinkable that they did not have something as common as a defibrillator and a stretcher on hand at the arena...
